Respect for Diversity
The (Jewish) Rabbi and the (Muslim) Pakistani Coder
I'm Ian Ippolito, the owner of Rent a Coder. Everyday we see so many bad examples of things happening in our world as people fight over their differences. I received an email recently about two people who typify the good examples I see all of the time on RAC. Despite completely different cultures and religions, they both worked toward a common purpose with trust and respect, and seemed to enjoy it. I think the key to a better planet lies in the tolerant attitudes expressed by both of them.

Ian,
I just happened to read your 5/22/06 posting on "Respect
for diversity," and thought you might enjoy knowing what Rent a
Coder recently accomplished.
My website,
www.bobalper.com,
(I'm a rabbi and a stand-up comic) was extensively revised by Farasat
Ali, a Muslim in Pakistan.
Nice!

Ratings placed by each party:
“Farasat
combines exceptional coder abilities with superb communication skills
and a relaxed personal attitude, making the project both successful and
enjoyable. The project grew larger as we got into it, but Farasat never
voiced concern. I ultimately posted a well-deserved bonus that doubled
his original bid. I
recommend Farasat without reservation. It was a pleasure working
with him.”
