AccuTimeCard™ Desktop and Web Application Overview

The AccuTimeCard™ application is a timecard 'on steriods'. Unlike traditional timecards, which are vulnerable to fudging and deliberate fraud, the system requires the worker to punch in and out in real-time, so that these times are always accurate. In addition, the buyer can verify that the worker is present at their desk and truly working their project, because the system records frequent images of both the worker's webcam and computer screen. This gives buyers the confidence that their worker is truly only billing them for time they worked. And it also allows Rent A Coder to guarantee payment to workers who log time using this system.      Here is how the entire process works: The buyer selects the seller they want to work with and escrows the funds for the timecard.   The seller installs the desktop timecard application on their desktop (if they haven't done so already. Click here to see full size   As they are working, the application takes periodic images of their webcam and desktop so that the buyer can verify what they are doing. Click here to see full size   The seller can also take additional images to visually show the buyer progress being made at important milestones.   Both buyer and seller can view a weekly overview: Click here to see full size   and detailed daily view: Click here to see full size   From the daily view, the seller can also notate images and/or exclude images from being charged for on the timecard.   If the seller forgets to punch in for time, they can also record a manual entry on the weekly time card view. However, the buyer is under no obligation to accept these entries. So this method is only recommended as a "last resort" to sellers. Sellers can also use manual entries to subtract charged time from a timecard: Click here to see full size   Once the timecard period ends, the buyer has 3 days to approve or contest the timecard. If they neglect to do so, the timecard is auto-approved (per the contract). Once it is approved, the coder is credited with the amount in escrow. If the images show evidence of fraud, the buyer can contest the timecard. An arbitrator will review the images and if verified, return funds to the buyer. Sellers who commit fraud receive poor ratings and may also forfeit their account.   If the buyer wants the seller to work more time, they can create a brand new timecard and the process starts again.
